Vanessa López
UX/UI & Product Designer
I design accessible digital products that start with a real problem.
My journey
I started in architecture in Venezuela but couldn’t finish because of the situation in the country: the university was left virtually without professors. Still, I was determined to earn a degree, so I moved into engineering and started combining the best of both worlds. I relocated to Brazil in search of a better quality of life, carrying with me what architecture taught me about space and people, what engineering taught me about logic, and what quality assurance taught me about learning from past mistakes.
I found my home in UX/UI because it connects all those dots. For me, design always begins with a real human need and a clear problem. Once I understand those, the interface naturally follows.
Since 2010, I’ve also volunteered at the Ramón Ruiz Polanco Public Library, giving back to the place that welcomed me for so long. That’s where my passion for accessible, human-centered design truly began.
